IAA Frankfurt Moves Cranes to Bintan Island, Indonesia

8 June 2021

IAA Frankfurt moved Project Cargo by Sea and Air from Sicily via Milan – Malpensa Airport to Indonesia.

The shipment consisted of 3 Cranes, weighing a total of 42,555 kg.  The largest piece measured 991 x 230 x 232 cm.  To ensure the safe transportation of this shipment by boat and aircraft, special steel frames were constructed.

In order to make this possible, the cranes moved from Sicily to Genoa by Maritime Vessel.  Upon arrival to Genoa, the cargo was then trucked to Malpensa Airport and flown on Airbridge Cargo to Singapore.  Finally, upon arrival to Singapore, the cargo was once again transferred to a Maritime Vessel for the last part of the journey to Bintan Island.

IAA Projects:  Moving cargo that others say can’t be moved!
